Swallow-like Birds

This search function groups species by taxonomic family, listing all species in each of their families together with their relatives. Once a family is selected, you can order the species listed by first, last, or scientific name.
Included here are the swallows and martins and the similar but unrelated swifts. These are small birds that spend most of their time in the air, fling gracefully about in pursuit of their insect prey. They have pointed wings and often gather in large flocks.
